Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in institutional cooking, healthcare, or food service preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Accommodate residents' special dietary needs, allergies, and texture modifications as instructed by dietary staff or healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and food storage areas
  • Collaborate with dietary team members to ensure timely and accurate meal service
  • Monitor inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize food waste
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols in food preparation and service
