Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • good working knowledge of food preparation
  • familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, and serving foods
  • taste products and read menus to ensure food quality
  • estimate food requirements and keep production records
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
  • lift and move supplies up to 50 pounds
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
