Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a leading family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept that originated in Glendale, California in 1983. Over the past decades, the company has expanded significantly and now operates nearly 2,800 locations globally. The group's mission centers on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering an organization where people are inspired to improve their lives. Panda Restaurant Group emphasizes family values and community involvement, making it a household name known for both its food and its positive workplace culture. Their restaurants pride themselves on being the heart and soul of the company, driven by the dedication and passion of their team members. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Panda Restaurant Group is committed to diversity and inclusivity, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees regardless of various protected characteristics. The company complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding accommodation and workplace rights, further demonstrating its dedication to fairness and respect for every individual.
The role of Panda Cook is central to the restaurant’s success and brand reputation. As a Cook at Panda Restaurant Group, you will be a critical leader and an essential member of the kitchen team. This position invites you to channel your passion for food preparation and dedication to excellent service within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. You will be directly responsible for supporting a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for guests, preparing dishes to meet the company’s recipes and quality standards, and helping to train and guide kitchen team members. Beyond food preparation, you will be involved in performing all responsibilities associated with the back of house, a dynamic and demanding setting where accuracy, speed, and teamwork are paramount. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and efficiently managing kitchen tools and equipment, all while maintaining high safety and sanitation standards. Working at Panda offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay from $21 to $24 per hour depending on experience and location, and a strong benefits package for full-time associates, including medical, vision, dental insurance, and various other comprehensive employee supports. If you’re ready to be a leader in a constantly evolving kitchen environment and contribute to a company that values its people as much as its food, the Panda Cook position offers a unique and rewarding opportunity.
