The Cook position at ASM Global plays a fundamental role in the Food and Beverage department, responsible for preparing food for guests in accordance with management directives and established standards. This non-exempt, part-time role requires flexibility with schedules, including the possibility of long shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis. The Cook reports directly to Managers or the Stand Lead and works closely alongside team members to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality food preparation. Duties include operating kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers, evaluating food quality before serving, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

This role demands a candidate capable of thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and committed to delivering exceptional hospitality and customer service. Attention to detail and adherence to food handling guidelines, including time and temperature requirements, are critical. The Cook is expected to assist with inventory monitoring, expedite food orders with Stand Attendants, and collaborate with leadership to address any operational concerns. The position also includes physical requirements such as medium lifting and standing for extended periods. Preferred qualifications include 1 to 2 years of cooking experience and relevant culinary training, with a ServSafe certification considered advantageous. Job Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years satisfactory cooking experience preferred

  • excellent hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • is customer oriented, a team player, and works efficiently and commits to quality
  • ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Operates all kitchen and stand equipment safely and correctly
  • evaluates food before serving to ensure that standards are met
  • consults with Stand Lead and/or Manager on any concerns
  • cleans and sanitizes all food service equipment and work area
  • follows all food handling guidelines including time and temperature requirements
  • takes direction from Stand Lead on product quantity
  • assists Stand Attendants in expediting orders to ensure streamlined service
