Job Description
Dial is a respected organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through compassionate care and exceptional service. As a team-oriented company, Dial fosters an environment where employees can love the way they work, serving and learning from seasoned professionals who are knowledgeable and passionate. Dial is more than a workplace – it is a community where residents become family, and employees get the rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve. At Dial, the mission is to infuse happiness and vitality into every resident's daily life, extending not just years to their lives but life to their years.
Dial is currently looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join their food service team. This role is crucial in preparing nutritious and varied meals that meet the unique dining needs of residents. The position involves preparing food daily according to weekly menus, adapting recipes for special dietary requirements, ensuring food is attractively presented, and maintaining proper portion control to meet budgetary guidelines. Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen environment is also an essential aspect of this role. Employees in this position are expected to handle food safely, store ingredients properly, and participate in serving meals while working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Beyond food preparation, the role includes responsibilities such as monitoring kitchen equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of residents by communicating any concerns to supervisors. The job also encourages employees to engage residents in the dining experience and related activities, fostering a sense of community and involvement. The position requires attendance at staff meetings and in-service training as scheduled to stay updated on best practices. Confidentiality and professionalism are vital, as employees will handle sensitive information related to residents and community operations.
This food preparation role offers an enriching employment opportunity for individuals seeking to work in a supportive environment with a deep sense of purpose. Dial supports its team members with a comprehensive benefits package including birthday and anniversary paid time off, tuition assistance, double pay on holidays, paid time off accrual from day one, referral bonuses, free meals during shifts, loyalty incentives, employee recognition programs, and discounts through major carriers like Verizon and AT&T. Additional benefits include a pay advance program, medical and prescription drug insurance with dental and vision coverage, basic term life and AD&D insurance, a 401K plan, and flexible spending accounts for dependent care.
Employees who join Dial become part of a community that values teamwork, safety, and continuous learning. The preferred candidates have experience in commercial or large group cooking, are willing to learn and support others, enjoy working with older adults, and ideally have food preparation certification and supervisory experience. This position promises a meaningful career path where you can grow professionally while genuinely impacting the lives of elders with joy and respect.
