Established with a passion for traditional recipes and fresh ingredients, Buona has built a reputation for excellence in the restaurant industry, focusing on providing guests with a warm, inviting dining experience that celebrates Italian culinary heritage. Utilizing a fast-casual service model, Buona combines the convenience of quick service with the sophistication and care of a full-service restaurant. Their culinary team is dedicated to innovation while maintaining the classic standards that have become synonymous with the Buona name.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a crucial role where you will be responsible for preparing food to the highest standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workspace, and ensuring each dish meets Buona's exquisite quality and flavor expectations. Cooks at Buona learn multiple kitchen stations including beef, pizza, broiler, café/salads, and prep, offering a comprehensive cooking experience that combines hands-on skill development with teamwork and speed in a bustling kitchen environment. This position is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced settings and are passionate about food preparation, proper handling, and presentation.
Employees in this role must follow precise recipes and food preparation protocols including cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting, and slicing, handling everything from raw ingredients to final presentation. Maintaining portion control and monitoring food levels on the line is key to ensuring consistent quality and minimizing waste. Attention to health and safety standards is paramount, with an emphasis on food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation to protect both employees and guests. The role also involves restocking, waste disposal, cookware cleaning, and sanitizing to uphold operational efficiency.
The Cook position offers competitive wages with a pay range based on experience plus tips. Buona supports its employees through valuable benefits including paid time off, next day pay, tuition reimbursement, flexible scheduling, employee discounts on restaurant and catering services, referral bonuses, and a 401K plan with employer match for eligible employees. Full-time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance become available after one year of employment working an average of 30 hours per week. This opportunity not only promises a rewarding culinary career but also a supportive work environment where skills are honed and career growth is encouraged.
