As a Cook at Wingstop, you play an essential role in delivering an outstanding dining experience by preparing and serving delicious food that meets the company’s high standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Your responsibilities include learning and executing Wingstop’s specific cooking and saucing guidelines, managing fryer shortening quality, and preventing food waste by preparing accurate portion sizes. You will be expected to read order tickets accurately and coordinate with team members to ensure timely and precise order delivery. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment throughout your shift, following closing sanitation procedures, and partnering with managers to address any safety or team-related issues. In addition, fostering a positive team environment through effective communication, training new cooks, and assisting other team members as needed is vital.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $18.00 per hour, reflective of the level of responsibility and expertise required. Job Qualifications

  • guest service mentality with a genuine desire to serve the highest level of food and customer service to guests

  • food handler certification required

Job Duties

  • act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop
  • follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures including but not limited to filtering and freshening of all fryer shortenings daily
  • properly learn and execute all cooking and saucing guidelines to ensure the highest quality food is prepared and packaged according to guidelines
  • ensure the proper amount and proportion of food is prepared per order to prevent food waste
  • read and understand order tickets and prepare orders in a timely manner
  • coordinate and communicate ticket times to team members to ensure on-time delivery of guest orders within quoted guest order readiness times
  • assist in keeping the kitchen clean throughout the shift maintaining clean as you go and consistently following closing sanitation procedures
