Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • food handler permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work
  • minimum one year experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift and move heavy items
  • ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • ability to maintain sanitary conditions
  • manual dexterity
  • good organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
  • one or more years of experience as a cook or grill cook preferred
  • ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • understands workflow, prioritizes, uses timelines and meets deadlines
  • ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred
  • knowledge of modified diets and preparation techniques preferred
  • ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment preferred
