The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences by fostering an environment where employees are inspired to improve their lives. Panda Restaurant Group embraces family values and strongly believes that its people are the recipe for success. The organization operates in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment that values diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusivity. It is committed to providing a welcoming and equitable workplace for all employees, including those with disabilities, and to offering reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring and employment process.
The role of a Cook at Panda is integral to the kitchen team and the overall customer experience. As a Cook, you will serve as a key leader within the kitchen, responsible for delivering food made with passion, providing service with heart, and creating an ambiance that reflects pride in the work and the brand. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a vibrant and fast-moving restaurant environment, where high standards of food preparation and service are upheld. The Cook supports the team by preparing all dishes according to company recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Additionally, the opportunity to guide and assist in training kitchen staff allows for leadership development and career advancement. The Cook handles all back-of-house responsibilities essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Candidates are expected to work in a demanding environment that includes exposure to hot steam, food vapors, and noise, requiring standing for prolonged periods, swift and accurate food preparation using kitchen tools such as the Chinese cook knife, and the ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic workplace with changing priorities are also key. This position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $26 to $29 depending on location and experience and flexible scheduling options. Panda provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance for full-time associates, paid training, employee discounts, and opportunities for career growth into management roles. The company also emphasizes community involvement and offers various leave benefits to support work-life balance. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to join a supportive team in a thriving company that values leadership, diversity, and personal and professional growth.
