Job Description

Edgewood Healthcare has been a trusted provider of senior care and services since its establishment in 1992. The company operates over 60 senior living communities across seven states in the Midwest, offering a variety of residential options that include assisted living and memory care. Edgewood is committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors by delivering compassionate care in a safe, supportive environment. Their communities are designed to meet the unique needs of each resident, providing a blend of independence and assistance tailored to individual requirements. Edgewood places a strong emphasis on dignity, respect, and personalized care, which has earned them a solid reputation in the senior healthcare industry.

Edgewood Sartell is one of their 96-bed communities specializing in Assisted Living and Memory Care. This facility aims to create a home-like atmosphere where residents feel valued and supported. The staff at Edgewood Sartell are well-trained professionals dedicated to ensuring the physical, emotional and social well-being of seniors. As part of their ongoing commitment to excellence, they maintain rigorous standards for health, safety, and resident satisfaction.

The current job opening is for a Cook who will play an essential role in daily community life. This is a part-time position with evening shifts available, offering compensation between $18.00 and $19.00 per hour. The role comes with several benefits including paid training, paid time off starting from day one of employment, and a 401K plan with employer contributions.

As a Cook at Edgewood, your main responsibility will be preparing meals for residents, staff, and guests according to company-established menus and recipes. You will contribute not only to meal preparation but also to the planning and execution of special events, ensuring every dining experience is exceptional. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas is a critical component of this role, alongside aiding with inventory management and production control to help meet budgetary goals.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and helping others, with previous cooking experience and ServSafe certification preferred though not mandatory. Edgewood offers any necessary training and certification to support your development. A willingness to train new employees and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement are highly valued qualities. This position requires adherence to HIPAA and all other company policies to protect resident confidentiality and safety.

Vaccinations at Edgewood are optional, reflecting their respect for personal choice. Employment offers are contingent upon passing a background check and drug screening, ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment for seniors.

Joining Edgewood Healthcare means becoming part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care and creating meaningful experiences for seniors. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about service, enjoy culinary arts, and want to make a positive difference in a community setting.
