In this Cook position at Trinity Services Group, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food prepared under strict safety and quality guidelines. The Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of hot and cold food items accurately and efficiently, following detailed work instructions, menus, and food safety regulations. This role requires a strong passion for food and service, a solid understanding of food handling regulations, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be expected to manage your assigned cooking station, follow recipes carefully, and communicate well with fellow team members to ensure timely and consistent preparation of menu items. Successful candidates are dependable, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to changes, working independently or collaboratively as needed. The job also includes physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and operating a variety of kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant cooking experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience cooking or kitchen work in a cafeteria or large volume production facility preferred
- Knowledge of food safety procedures
- Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant cooking experience
- Experience with safety procedures in a food service environment
- Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Refer to daily prep list at the start of shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, recipes and policies
- Handle, store, label and rotate all products properly according to state laws
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- Prepare ingredients and understand menu items
- Multi-task in a high-volume kitchen
- Work in hot and cold conditions during food preparation
- Perform physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking and standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
