As a Cook at Aramark, you will become part of a dynamic team that brings recipes to life with creativity and precision. Working as a Cook, you will handle tasks such as measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items with attention to detail. You will safely operate kitchen tools and equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Your responsibilities also include cooking through various methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming across different food groups such as meats and vegetables. Additionally, you will be responsible for arranging, garnishing, and portioning food according to established guidelines while maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace to meet food safety policies.

Beyond food preparation, the role emphasizes excellent customer service skills and a positive demeanor toward guests, clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders. Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • physical ability to perform demanding kitchen tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
