Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a highly respected family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept founded in Glendale, California, in 1983. Over the past four decades, it has grown to become the largest of its kind in America, boasting nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, creating an environment where people are inspired to improve their lives and where strong family values are deeply embedded into the culture. Panda Restaurant Group has become a pillar of the community by not only serving quality food but also by fostering a welcoming atmosphere for its team members and guests alike. The company's commitment to its associates' growth and the local community sets it apart in the restaurant industry.

The Cook position at Panda Restaurant Group is a vital leadership role within the kitchen team. As a Panda Cook, you are entrusted with the responsibility of preparing food with passion and precision while maintaining an energetic and warm ambiance for guests. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, quality, and efficiency are key. Not only does this position involve crafting dishes that meet the company's strict recipe and quality standards, but it also includes supporting and guiding the kitchen team, ensuring that new members are properly trained and the kitchen operates smoothly. The position is hourly, with a pay scale ranging from $25 to $28 per hour depending on the location and candidate experience, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding talent and dedication.

Working as a Panda Cook means you will experience a broad range of responsibilities that extend beyond food preparation. You will engage in creating a vibrant and welcoming environment, inspiring your team with leadership and hands-on involvement. The position demands the ability to perform back-of-house duties efficiently and with a high level of accuracy, including working with kitchen equipment and using specialized tools such as Chinese cook knives. Given the fast-paced nature of the operation, the role requires stamina and physical endurance, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 50 pounds. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic settings and seek personal and professional growth within a company dedicated to its employees' advancement.
