Job Description

Flynn Group, founded in 1999 by Greg Flynn, began its journey with the acquisition of eight Applebee's locations. Over the course of more than two decades, the company has experienced remarkable growth through both the development of new stores and the strategic acquisition of other franchise operators. This growth has established Flynn Group as the largest Applebee's franchisee in the world, with an expansive portfolio boasting over 460 Applebee's restaurants spread across 24 states.

Flynn Group isn’t just a prominent name in the Applebee's franchise world; it has expanded its footprint across multiple iconic brands and industries globally. Flynn Applebee's is proud to be one of the seven premier brands of Flynn Group, which has grown to be the largest franchise operator worldwide. The diversified portfolio includes renowned, world-class brands such as Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. Flynn Group’s central mission is to be the premier operator within each of these brand segments by adhering to its core values: Care Genuinely for People, Play like a Champion, and Win as One.

This rich heritage and expansive growth underpin the vibrant workplace culture Flynn maintains today. Flynn Applebee's offers a unique blend of fun, flexibility, and career growth opportunities, making it more than a job—it’s a great career choice. At Applebee's, employees discover a supportive balance between work and personal life, alongside amazing benefits geared towards health, future security, family support, and overall happiness.

The role of a Cook at Flynn Applebee's is integral to maintaining the restaurant's high standards and ensuring guests’ satisfaction with delicious, beautifully prepared menu items. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team. The environment is challenging yet rewarding, with plenty of camaraderie and the chance to grow professionally. An Applebee's Cook must be committed, at least 18 years old, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact in their workplace.

Compensation for this role is competitive, with wages starting at $18 and ranging up to $25 per hour, plus tips through tip-out. The company provides numerous benefits such as healthcare, flexible work schedules, meal discounts, paid sick leave, and access to Daily Pay (outside California), ensuring that employees feel valued and supported. The physical demands of the job require stamina and mobility, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various temperature conditions, all while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Flynn Group is deeply committed to the health, safety, and well-being of its employees and upholds inclusive policies that foster diversity in the workplace.
