The Cook position at Parkhurst Dining offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to grow their culinary careers within a respected and expanding company. This role entails working primarily Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, and offers a competitive pay rate of $19 to $23 per hour, dependent on experience. The cook will play a vital role in ensuring that all meal production for the day meets the highest standards in terms of quality, quantity, and timeliness. Responsibilities include preparing food according to company-specific recipes and batch cooking methods, maintaining the temperature and presentation of food throughout the service period, and adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in catering
- Ability to stand and walk for 100% of work time
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and procedures
- Strong commitment to sanitation and food safety guidelines

Job Duties
- Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce the batch cooking method
- Ensure the quality of the food produced and maintain quality and quantity throughout the service period using production sheets
- Ensure proper line presentation including the use of proper pans, garnishes, utensils, and serving temperatures
- Maintain open communication with other associates regarding food items daily
- Complete daily production sheets
- Properly store and date all food items
- Follow all HACCP guidelines for leftover utilization
- Adhere to cleaning schedules with clean-as-you-go techniques
- Maintain communication with management about product and supply needs
- Follow uniform dress code and maintain personal hygiene
- Comply with all Parkhurst Gold Standards and Smile Plus hospitality imperatives
- Assist fellow team members when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
