With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda is renowned for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences across the globe. The company places significant emphasis on building an organization where people are inspired to better their lives through meaningful work and community impact. Embracing family values, Panda Restaurant Group thrives on diversity and inclusivity, being an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing all individuals with equitable employment opportunities.
Joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Cook means becoming an essential part of the kitchen team, where associates are regarded as important leaders and the heart of the kitchen. This full-time or part-time role offers the chance to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment that values passion for food, service, and a vibrant ambiance. The hourly pay for this position ranges between $24 to $27, based on work location and individual experience. As a Cook, you will play a central role in preparing dishes that meet the company's high standards and recipes, helping to create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for guests.
The position demands a hands-on approach to supporting and guiding the kitchen team, assisting with training sessions to ensure all team members excel in their duties. Your responsibilities will include performing all back-of-house tasks with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring food safety compliance as per local or municipal requirements, and demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic kitchen setting. Working at Panda means contributing to a vibrant work environment where your culinary skills and leadership abilities can flourish alongside career growth and development opportunities.
Panda Restaurant Group values its employees, offering a comprehensive range of benefits tailored to support work-life balance and personal well-being. Associates enjoy flexible schedules, competitive pay, free meals during shifts, and insurance options including medical, vision, dental, and voluntary short-term disability coverage. Additionally, full-time employees gain access to health care flexible spending accounts, 401K plans with company match, and various leave programs such as vacation, sick leave, bereavement, funeral leave, and a Leave Share Program. The company also provides associate discounts across multiple brands, referral bonuses, community engagement initiatives, paid hands-on training, ongoing career and leadership development, and opportunities to advance into management positions.
Working conditions require standing for extended periods and handling kitchen equipment safely, including the use of Chinese cook knives. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate in hot, noisy, and fast-paced environments, and demonstrate effective communication and conflict management skills. Panda Restaurant Group is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring an inclusive application and employment process for all candidates.
Whether you are an experienced culinary professional or looking to grow your skills within the restaurant industry, the Cook position at Panda Restaurant Group offers a rewarding and dynamic career path. If you are passionate about food, service, and contributing to a positive team environment, Panda invites you to join their dedicated team and be a part of their continued success story.
