Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to operate machinery
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk frequently around the department
  • Capacity to carry up to 60 pounds and push or pull up to 1000 pounds
  • Ability to bend and reach for products stored on lower levels
  • Use of proper safety procedures
  • Ability to listen to directions and follow through independently
  • Ability to slice, dice, and mince manually

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with the public
  • Knowledge of proper knife skills and sanitation practices
  • Understanding of different types of meats, fish, and food preparation methods
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, fryers, and slicers
  • Strong communication and observational skills
  • Time management skills

Job Duties

  • Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact
  • Cooks food items needed for the day such as make bentos, roast chicken, fish
  • Tracks food inventory, order from vendors if needed
  • Tracks food quality, pulls food that does not meet standards, conducts hourly temperature checks of food and warmers for hot food temperature and hot chicken temperature log
  • Keeps workstation clean and organized by dusting, wiping, and sweeping area
  • Washes and sanitizes dishes, tools and area
  • Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager
