Job Description
Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley is part of Alabama's renowned Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, which features a unique collection of 468 holes of championship golf spread across 11 distinctive sites throughout Alabama. Managed by Sunbelt Golf Corporation, the organization adheres to a vision of creating and maintaining the finest public golf courses in the world while ensuring the operation is a thriving business investment. Located centrally in the state near the revitalized downtown Birmingham area, Oxmoor Valley is a picturesque golf facility that was thoughtfully developed on land formerly owned by U.S. Steel and mined in the past. The courses at Oxmoor Valley are beautifully sculpted into the rugged terrain of the Appalachian Mountains, offering golf enthusiasts scenic forest views, numerous creeks, and challenging elevation changes that enhance the playing experience.
The position offered is for a Cook at the Oxmoor Valley facility. This role offers a competitive wage ranging from $15.00 to $19.00 per hour and is a full-time, in-person opportunity. As a Cook on the Sunbelt Golf Team, you will be part of a hospitable and driven group that is committed to delivering excellent food services to complement the high-quality golfing experience. Even if you have no previous kitchen or restaurant experience, this role welcomes you, as training is provided, with an emphasis on cultivating a positive attitude, teamwork, and the willingness to learn and take initiative. The cook's responsibility entails preparing food with precision and accuracy, adhering strictly to all food safety procedures, and thriving in a fast-paced and often demanding environment. Tasks may involve food preparation as well as other kitchen roles to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Physical stamina is important since the job requires standing for extended periods. Joining Sunbelt Golf Corporation means having access to flexible work schedules, paid training, discounted meals during shifts, and a fun, supportive team atmosphere. There are clear pathways for professional growth and opportunities to advance your career within the organization. Beyond the immediate job duties, you will be contributing to a storied golf destination that combines natural beauty with top-tier recreational facilities and hospitality services, playing a key role in the overall customer satisfaction and success of the venue.
