The current employment opportunity is a full-time Cook position based at East Texas Baptist University under the Sodexo brand. This role involves working varying shifts, including different days and hours, with open availability preferred to accommodate operational needs. The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $12.00 to $13.00, offering a competitive salary for candidates passionate about culinary arts and customer service. As a Cook with Sodexo, you will be more than just a food preparer; you will be an important team player and advocate for sustainability, particularly in reducing food waste. Your responsibilities will include accurately preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and/or cold food items tailored to multiple meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. Attention to detail is crucial as you will follow established recipes and product directions meticulously to ensure consistent quality and taste. Additionally, you may operate an a la carte station or a grill, engaging directly with customers to provide excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
