The role of a Cook at Wingstop is vital in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation by preparing high-quality food that is consistent and delicious. This position requires strict adherence to company policies, especially regarding food safety and sanitation standards. The Cook must be able to work calmly and efficiently, even during high-volume periods, ensuring every order meets Wingstop’s quality expectations. Responsibilities include learning and executing all cooking and saucing guidelines, proper handling of fryer shortenings, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen during shifts. The Cook acts as a key team player who supports management and collaborates with fellow team members to uphold service standards and guest satisfaction. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20 to $23 and involves flexible working hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Food handler certification required
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights and/or holidays
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Guest service mentality with genuine desire to serve highest level of food and customer service
- Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep restaurant operating to standard

- Food handler certification required

Job Duties
- Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures, including filtering and freshening of fryer shortenings daily
- Properly learn and execute all cooking and saucing guidelines to ensure highest quality food prepared and packaged according to guidelines
- Ensure proper amount and proportion of food prepared per order to prevent food waste
- Read and understand order tickets, preparing orders timely
- Coordinate and communicate ticket times to team members to ensure on-time delivery within quoted readiness times
- Assist in keeping kitchen clean throughout shift, maintain clean as you go and follow closing sanitation procedures
