With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Asian cuisine restaurants have become a beloved part of communities across the country. The Group is deeply committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and building an organization where individuals are inspired to improve their lives. The company's success is driven by a strong foundation of family values, community engagement, and empowering its team members with meaningful career and leadership development opportunities.
As a Cook at Panda Cook, you will become an integral part of the Panda Restaurant Group team and the heart of the kitchen. This role places you at the center of food preparation, ensuring that guests receive meals made with passion and care that meet the company’s rigorous standards. Working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, you will be part of a team that values vibrant service, teamwork, and quality. Your responsibilities include preparing dishes according to company recipes, supporting a welcoming restaurant atmosphere, assisting with training and guiding kitchen team members, and managing back-of-house duties. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising accuracy or safety.
The position offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay ranging between $26 to $29 per hour, with individual compensation determined by location and experience. In addition, Panda provides an extensive benefits package for full-time associates, including medical, vision, dental, and voluntary short-term disability insurance, as well as opportunities for 401K with company match, paid training, associate discounts, and various types of leave, such as vacation and sick time. Candidates are expected to meet local food safety standards and certifications, such as Food Handler certification, which applicants generally acquire at their own expense.
The work environment involves some physical demands, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in hot and sometimes noisy kitchen areas. Panda Restaurant Group emphasizes a commitment to equal opportunity employment and provides workplace accommodations as needed, fully complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act. By joining Panda, you are stepping into a rewarding role within a respected company that has a long-standing reputation for excellence in Asian dining and the development of its associates. Through hands-on training and career development programs, cooks have the opportunity to grow into management positions and contribute to a thriving team culture.
