UMC is seeking a Part-Time Cook for Collingswood Manor with shift hours between 10am and 7pm, including weekends. The pay rate can be up to $18.01 per hour, commensurate with experience. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who have at least three to four years of cooking experience and enjoy working in an environment that truly values the impact of their work. This position does not require supervisory experience but demands dedication to high standards of food preparation, safety, and hospitality. The Cook will be a vital part of the production team contributing to various dining programs including catering events and retail services. Key responsibilities include preparing quality meals that meet consistency, presentation, flavor, and temperature standards, ensuring safe handling and sanitation practices, and practicing fiscal stewardship by efficiently managing food quantities and following recipes and cooking techniques that minimize waste.   • Two years of cooking and meal preparation experience
  • Three to four years of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to work shift hours between 10am - 7pm including weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensures quality meal preparation including consistency, presentation, flavor and temperature
  • Ensures safe food preparation including receiving, storage, cooking, service, holding, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space
  • Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques
  • Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs including catering, events, retail etc
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
  • Collaborates with other kitchen staff to meet dietary needs and resident preferences
  • Assists in inventory management and communicates supply needs
