Job Description

Flynn Group, founded by Greg Flynn in 1999, began its journey with the acquisition of eight Applebee's restaurants. Over more than two decades, Flynn Group has grown exponentially, becoming the largest Applebee's franchisee in the world. With more than 460 Applebee's restaurants located across 24 states, Flynn Group's success is built on strong foundations of strategic expansion, organic growth, and acquisitions. This has enabled the company to extend its portfolio beyond Applebee's into a diversified collection of world-class food and fitness brands including Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. Flynn Group is recognized as the largest franchise operator worldwide, managing a diverse range of premier brands in various segments of the restaurant and fitness industries. This expansion represents the company's vision to be the premier operator within each brand it represents. Flynn Group’s culture is driven by core values aimed at creating an outstanding workplace and customer experience—Care Genuinely for People, Play like a Champion, and Win as One. These guiding principles shape the team environment and ensure a consistent standard of excellence across all operations.

Applebee's, as one of the flagship brands within Flynn Group, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking fun, flexibility, and growth in their careers. This is not merely a job but a career that balances work and personal life while providing extensive benefits. Positions with Applebee's foster a team-oriented environment in which employees enjoy flexible schedules tailored to their individual needs. Health and happiness are prioritized with competitive wages, healthcare benefits, meal discounts, and paid sick leave, all contributing to a supportive work culture. The role of a Cook at Applebee's is a vital part of delivering the brand’s promise. A Cook creates the delicious menu items that keep customers returning, all while working in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen setting. The environment encourages clear communication and teamwork, making the work rewarding and enjoyable. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $25 per hour plus tips, ensuring compensation reflects the hard work and dedication required. Additional perks such as daily pay options (excluding California) and opportunities for career advancement make Applebee's an attractive employer.

The physical demands of the Cook position at Applebee's require stamina and the ability to operate in a hot and busy kitchen atmosphere. Employees need to maintain safety and hygiene by using protective gear and disinfectants throughout their shifts. The company maintains a strong commitment to the health, safety, and well-being of its employees, reflected in its workplace policies and practices. Flynn Group is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce with accommodations available where needed.
