We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites. This role is essential in delivering fresh, high-quality meals to our guests, both in our on-site restaurant and during banquet events. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position demands attention to detail, commitment to food safety and sanitation, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will collaborate closely with other kitchen staff and the events team to ensure timely service and exceptional food quality. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a line cook or banquet cook
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or banquet cook required
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with banquet event meal prep, setup, and breakdown
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and event teams to ensure timely service
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain inventory and assist with stock rotation
