The role of Cook at Gemini Healthcare is an essential position within the kitchen team, responsible for preparing and producing high-quality meals that meet the facility's nutritional and safety standards. As a Cook, you will collaborate closely with the Head Chef to ensure that each dish is cooked to perfection and adheres to established recipes and quality criteria.   • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving objects
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and coordination in handling kitchen tools and equipment

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently to understand recipes and communicate with team members
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and coordination in handling kitchen tools and equipment
  • Experience working under the supervision of a Head Chef or in a similar kitchen role
  • Formal culinary training or certification
  • Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food production planning
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
  • Handle kitchen equipment and utensils with care, demonstrating manual dexterity
  • Communicate effectively with team members in English to coordinate tasks
  • Lift and move kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed, including climbing stairs when required
