Job Duties

  • prepare and cook or reheat fresh, frozen, and canned fruits and vegetables
  • prepare and cook cereals, eggs, soups, meats, gravies, sauces, fish, poultry, and potatoes or starch substitutes
  • follow recipes and instructions to ensure quality and food safety
  • maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards including wearing hairnet or hat and uniform
  • safely use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment
  • handle physical demands of standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, and bending
  • work safely under high-temperature, noisy, and humid kitchen conditions
