Job Requirements

Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
ability to bend, reach, stoop and safely lift up to 30 pounds
capacity to stand for 8 to 12 hour shifts
ability to work as part of a team with attention to detail and multitasking abilities

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior cooking experience in a restaurant setting is an asset
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
strong attention to detail
ability to work effectively in a team environment
good communication skills

Job Duties

Accommodate and stock preparation and line stations
clean, disinfect and organize kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
check the quality and freshness of ingredients
prepare, season and cook food according to recipes, specified quantities, and specifications while maintaining portion control systems
inspect food preparation and serving areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
substitute or assist other cooks and kitchen positions during peak periods
