Job Requirements
- Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
- ability to bend, reach, stoop and safely lift up to 30 pounds
- capacity to stand for 8 to 12 hour shifts
- ability to work as part of a team with attention to detail and multitasking abilities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior cooking experience in a restaurant setting is an asset
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- Accommodate and stock preparation and line stations
- clean, disinfect and organize kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
- check the quality and freshness of ingredients
- prepare, season and cook food according to recipes, specified quantities, and specifications while maintaining portion control systems
- inspect food preparation and serving areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
- substitute or assist other cooks and kitchen positions during peak periods
