Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow recipes and food safety protocols
  • reliability and punctuality
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining standards in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • must produce items exactly according to recipe to ensure guest satisfaction and control food costs
  • must follow food handling and sanitation procedures
  • must be able to read guest orders
  • must be able to hear kitchen and manager requests amid background noise
  • must be able to stand, move, and walk for entire shift
  • ability to bend and stoop frequently
  • able to lift and carry sacks and cases up to 70 lbs up to 20 times per shift
  • experience working in hot and damp environments
  • occasional ability to work in extreme cold temperatures
  • must use hands 99% of the time

Job Duties

  • Prepare a wide variety of foods according to recipe requirements
  • adhere to product sensitivities and plate presentation guidelines
  • comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards
  • place expo-ready food in the window using appropriate zoning standards
  • keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen and stock supplies
  • communicate ticket times and potential problems with staff and managers
  • complete assigned prep work and thoroughly clean station daily
  • assist with Line Checks and ensure adherence to food safety standards
  • requisition products timely and operate equipment properly
  • clean and sanitize throughout the shift
  • ensure proper product rotation and stock levels
  • keep supervisor informed of problems and suggest corrective actions
