Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow recipes and food safety protocols
- reliability and punctuality
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining standards in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- must produce items exactly according to recipe to ensure guest satisfaction and control food costs
- must follow food handling and sanitation procedures
- must be able to read guest orders
- must be able to hear kitchen and manager requests amid background noise
- must be able to stand, move, and walk for entire shift
- ability to bend and stoop frequently
- able to lift and carry sacks and cases up to 70 lbs up to 20 times per shift
- experience working in hot and damp environments
- occasional ability to work in extreme cold temperatures
- must use hands 99% of the time
Job Duties
- Prepare a wide variety of foods according to recipe requirements
- adhere to product sensitivities and plate presentation guidelines
- comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards
- place expo-ready food in the window using appropriate zoning standards
- keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen and stock supplies
- communicate ticket times and potential problems with staff and managers
- complete assigned prep work and thoroughly clean station daily
- assist with Line Checks and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- requisition products timely and operate equipment properly
- clean and sanitize throughout the shift
- ensure proper product rotation and stock levels
- keep supervisor informed of problems and suggest corrective actions
