Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cooking experience in a healthcare facility or restaurant
- availability to work evening shift from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Friday, every other weekend, and holidays
- adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- ServSafe certification preferred

- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow detailed recipes and production sheets
- good communication and teamwork skills
- basic math skills for recording production data
Job Duties
- Prepares main entrees for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to standardized recipes in forecasted amounts prior to start of room service
- follows daily production sheets routinely and records overages and underages after each meal service
- works various shifts under the direction of the First Cook
- practices high levels of sanitation as instituted by department
- maintains high standards in personal hygiene and safety
- prepares all foods for patient and non-patient functions and meals assigned
- ensures appearance, taste, and temperature of food are at acceptable levels
