Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, and mixers
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling
- Capacity to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Availability to work varied shifts
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively
- Manual dexterity and good visual and auditory skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cook or in a food preparation role preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and other equipment
- Ensure freshness of foods and ingredients by checking quality, rotating stock, and following labeling and dating procedures
- Monitor, cook, and prepare foods using tasting, smelling, and food thermometers to verify doneness
- Prepare stations according to company guidelines
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables
- Carve, trim, and prepare meats and seafood
- Bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment as needed
- Maintain records of food usage and assist with inventory
- Follow food specification amounts and assist in forecasting preparation needs
- Prepare and serve food in a timely manner
- Support culinary staff at various stations as directed
- Communicate with supervisor regarding kitchen equipment and supply needs
- Adhere to company standards for safety, sanitation, uniforms, and productivity
- Provide excellent customer service including being attentive, approachable, greeting, and thanking customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
