Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Evidence of training or experience demonstrating ability to perform cooking duties
  • Knowledge of quantity food preparation in healthcare or hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to follow specialized dietary requirements
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to coordinate multiple cooking tasks effectively
  • Experience working in high volume food production environments
  • Ability to work within regulated safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Plan food production and cooking processes to produce meals on time and at proper temperatures
  • Supervise food production and service areas in the absence of the Food Service Section Supervisor
  • Prepare and cook a variety of regular and therapeutic diet meals including diabetic, low sodium, low protein, and gluten free
  • Coordinate cooking of multiple items with different cooking times
  • Monitor quality and safety standards in all phases of food production
  • Perform administrative duties related to food production and service operations
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food handling protocols
