Job Requirements
- Certification in food safety and sanitation
- minimum of two years experience in healthcare food services
- ability to read, write and communicate in English
- leadership skills
- ability to make independent decisions
- tactfulness in dealing with various individuals
- physical ability to perform duties including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and fine motor skills for computer work
- willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary

Job Duties
- Prepare and distribute all food production in the dietary department
- supervise all dietary department personnel in the absence of the Food Service Director
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- make independent decisions when necessary
- communicate effectively with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies
- lead and work harmoniously with professional and nonprofessional staff
- seek out and incorporate new methods and principles into dietary practices
