Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience as a cook in a professional kitchen preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments

Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
  • collaborates with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items
  • maintains a clean and organized work area including cleaning equipment and utensils
  • assists with receiving and storage of deliveries and rotates stock to maintain freshness
  • monitors food quality and adjusts seasoning and presentation accordingly
  • oversees a specific station in the kitchen, coordinating with staff to ensure timely food delivery
  • assists with training new kitchen staff and supports kitchen team members as needed
  • adheres to health department regulations and ensures proper food storage and labeling
  • implements practices to reduce food waste and optimize resources
  • ensures guest interactions are courteous and professional
