Job Requirements

  • Previous culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen protocols

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Job Duties

  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc.
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assists others in closing the kitchen
  • Attends all scheduled team meetings and training and brings suggestions for improvements
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing, etc.
