Job Requirements

- Previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

- Previous experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Job Duties
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc.
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assists others in closing the kitchen
- Attends all scheduled team meetings and training and brings suggestions for improvements
- Performs other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing, etc.
