Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Willingness to learn and follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen position preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Basic culinary skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
- Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service periods
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Attend all scheduled team meetings and training sessions and contribute suggestions for improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing and bussing
