Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year full-time, wage-earning experience in commercial or institutional food preparation or food service management
  • Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record unless waived by management
  • Ability to complete annual in-service training, including physical agility test and background check

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals following approved menus, dietary guidelines, and portion control standards
  • Work collaboratively with the food service team to meet daily meal production goals
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food
  • Maintain clean and organized workstation, sanitizing prep surfaces and properly storing food
  • Adhere to facility security protocols, including supervision and safe handling of kitchen tools and maintaining an accurate and complete count of all required tools
  • Monitor inventory of food and supplies using production systems and ensure timely availability of required items or approved alternatives
  • Serve and ensure proper serving of food for tray line and dining room
