Job Requirements

  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS’s mission and operating philosophies
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with customers
  • Availability for full-time employment
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations
  • Experience in food preparation or culinary services preferred
  • Strong commitment to PHS’s mission and Christian ministry values
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve high quality, nutritious and palatable meals
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards per state and federal regulations
  • Ensure attractive meal presentation consistent with organizational policies
  • Collaborate with team members to support a compassionate dining experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and service areas
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team to meet dietary needs
