Job Requirements

  • Previous culinary experience preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary or food service experience preferred but not required

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Willingness to learn and accept training
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation best practices

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at correct temperature and appealing
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate service records
  • Cleans kitchen and stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely and adheres to company safety policies including use of protective gloves and footwear
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Commits to personal and coworker safety
  • Performs other duties as assigned
