  • Minimum 1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility
  • Food handler's permit required
  • Combination of experience and training providing required skills, knowledge, and abilities
  • Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluently in English
  • Reliable transportation required

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu while utilizing standardized recipes
  • Ensure that food prepared is of proper quantity and in accordance with established time schedules
  • Utilize correct portion control utensils during the preparation and duration of food service to ensure proper food quantity
  • Check and maintain proper food temperatures during food preparation and services, recording those temperatures according to policy
  • Ensure an adequate supply of food and supplies are available at all times, reporting inadequate stock levels to the supervisor in a timely manner
