Job Requirements

  • minimum high school education or equivalent
  • prior cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • must be able to follow standardized recipes and portion sizes
  • capable of maintaining clean and organized work areas
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a similar line cook role is advantageous
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • basic culinary skills and familiarity with cooking equipment
  • willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and various kitchen equipment
  • knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service periods
  • portions food products prior to cooking according to recipe specifications
  • maintains a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, and fryers
  • assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
  • closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • attends scheduled team meetings and training sessions bringing suggestions for improvement
  • performs other duties as assigned such as dishwashing and bussing
