Job Requirements
- minimum high school education or equivalent
- prior cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- must be able to follow standardized recipes and portion sizes
- capable of maintaining clean and organized work areas
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- compliance with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a similar line cook role is advantageous
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- basic culinary skills and familiarity with cooking equipment
- willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and various kitchen equipment
- knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service periods
- portions food products prior to cooking according to recipe specifications
- maintains a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, and fryers
- assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
- closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- attends scheduled team meetings and training sessions bringing suggestions for improvement
- performs other duties as assigned such as dishwashing and bussing
