Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • At least two years of experience with food preparation and kitchen safety
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • Ability to follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills
  • May require valid First Aid Certification

  • Ability to read and understand English language instructions
  • Experience with food purchasing and menu preparation
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with elderly individuals
  • Valid First Aid Certification preferred
  • Experience in senior care industry is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare appealing and nutritious meals for residents and guests
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Read and accurately follow recipes, menus, and food labels
  • Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services to plan menus
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Ensure heart-healthy meal options
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork with staff and residents
