Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Two years of food preparation experience
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, steam cookers, meat slicers, deep fat fryers, and grills
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Basic writing skills
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of food preparation experience
  • Experience in high volume food preparation preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to write and compose correspondence or reports
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes
  • Follow instructions of the executive chef or sous chef
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam cookers, meat slicers, deep fat fryers, and grills
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas
  • Ensure food safety and comply with health regulations
  • Assist in inventory management and kitchen supply organization
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
