Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in meal preparation for large groups
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • ability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • ability to follow sanitation standards

  • willingness to wear uniform if required

Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts in appropriate portions
  • maintains sanitation standards as required by all licenses and regulations
  • cleans work areas, utensils, and equipment with assistance
  • ensures inventories are rotated and fresh
  • notifies Food Service Director when supplies are needed
  • stores food and checks supplies upon delivery in absence of Director
  • encourages feedback from residents, guests, and staff to improve food quality and service
  • supports other departments as part of the team
  • provides communication to all involved in resident services
  • performs other duties as assigned
