Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong communication skills in the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 6 hours)
- Current, valid California food handlers card

Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items using flat-top grills, charbroilers, cooktops, waffle bakers, Panini presses, and fryers
- Take responsibility for the quality of all food products prepared and served
- Consistently adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service periods
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including all cooking and refrigeration equipment
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Open and close the kitchen properly, following the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Assist others in closing the kitchen
- Ensure orders are being cooked in a timely fashion so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time
- Ensure that once the food is cooked, servers run food to the table while it’s warm and ready
- Read tickets and prepare, to order, all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits (8-10 minutes)
- Prepare recipes and plate presentations and correctly set them up according to tickets
- Assist with routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Lead or manager-on-duty
- Must assist in any back-of-house (BOH) positions, including dishwasher, as needed
