Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a line cook or similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen procedures and standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, grills, broilers and fryers
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
- Close the kitchen properly following the closing checklist and assist others in closing
- Attend all scheduled team meetings and training
- Perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing and bussing
