Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent certificate
At least two years experience with food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation in a restaurant, health care facility, or institution
Ability to speak, read, and understand English
Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly
Positive attitude and ability to work well with all people especially the elderly
May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent certificate

Ability to speak, read, and understand English
Experience following instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels
Positive attitude and ability to work well with elderly individuals
Valid First Aid Certification may be required
Experience in the senior care industry is a plus

Job Duties

Prepare appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful, and fresh meals for residents, prospective residents, families, and guests
Follow recipe books, menus, and food labels accurately
Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards
Assist in food purchasing and menu preparation
Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services and team members
Demonstrate a positive attitude and work well with senior residents
Possibly maintain valid First Aid Certification
