Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • At least two years experience with food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation in a restaurant, health care facility, or institution
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with all people especially the elderly
  • May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • Experience following instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with elderly individuals
  • Valid First Aid Certification may be required
  • Experience in the senior care industry is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful, and fresh meals for residents, prospective residents, families, and guests
  • Follow recipe books, menus, and food labels accurately
  • Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in food purchasing and menu preparation
  • Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services and team members
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and work well with senior residents
  • Possibly maintain valid First Aid Certification
