Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
two or more years of cooking experience preferred
ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

Cooking experience in a high volume restaurant or bistro environment
two or more years of cooking experience a plus
knowledge of sanitation, cooking methods such as sautéing and grilling, and knife skills
culinary arts degree preferred
local board of health ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

Physically delivering a food product according to the restaurant's standards
conducting oneself and work in a clean and safe manner, maintaining a professional atmosphere at all times
meeting any special requests presented by guests
preparing the dishes with creative flair
being knowledgeable of ingredients used in foods to comply with a customer's specific dietary requirements
assisting in all kitchen operations related to food preparation, cooking, and storage
ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met
