Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two or more years of cooking experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Cooking experience in a high volume restaurant or bistro environment
  • two or more years of cooking experience a plus
  • knowledge of sanitation, cooking methods such as sautéing and grilling, and knife skills
  • culinary arts degree preferred
  • local board of health ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Physically delivering a food product according to the restaurant's standards
  • conducting oneself and work in a clean and safe manner, maintaining a professional atmosphere at all times
  • meeting any special requests presented by guests
  • preparing the dishes with creative flair
  • being knowledgeable of ingredients used in foods to comply with a customer's specific dietary requirements
  • assisting in all kitchen operations related to food preparation, cooking, and storage
  • ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met
