Job Requirements
- Minimum two years of line cooking experience
- Ability to work full time Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
- Ability to follow food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Capability to handle high-volume food production
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Commitment to workplace safety including use of protective gloves, footwear, and proper techniques
- Willingness to attend safety and in-service meetings
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of line cooking and high volume experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records from work areas
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures by following HACCP standards
- Commits personally to safety protocols and abides by all Company policies and procedures, including specific use of protective gloves, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
- Performs other duties as assigned
