Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one year of responsible food service experience preparing bulk meals
  • ServSafe certification required within 30 days of hire
  • ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely
  • availability to work full-time schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage
  • physical ability to perform kitchen tasks
  • compliant with all health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Operate kitchen equipment
  • demonstrate methods of sanitary food preparation, cooking, and baking
  • take personal ownership in the success of the dietary department and Willow Springs Center
  • serve as a role model for dietary staff behavior
  • clean and maintain all kitchen appliances
  • report issues or concerns to management
  • work with Department Manager and Lead to learn menu items, meal preparation, departmental organization, and staff safety
