Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least two years of institutional cooking experience
- ServSafe Food Safety Certificate required
- ability to work weekends and on-call shifts
- adherence to safety and sanitation procedures
- ability to lift and carry food trays and equipment
- strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Practice Serve Safe sanitation at all times
- prepare catering functions and maintain consistent food quality
- prepare patient meals according to specific diets and have meals ready at mealtime
- ensure proper temperature of all food served according to state and federal guidelines
- maintain acceptable food temperature as per policy and procedure manual
- prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu
- ensure cafeteria meals are done on time and have sufficient backup to avoid running out of food
